Travel & WODs

On the road for work or for play? Might as well throw in the towel, grab a cocktail, forget the workout and relax.  It all sounds well and good, particularly if you have been hitting it hard and your body needs a rest.  However, more often than not, its a lack of creativity, equipment or motivation that keep us from building on our hard-earned gains in the gym when we are on the road for work or a summer vacation.  No longer...

You all have been at Catacombs and doing CrossFit style workouts long enough to understand what you are capable of and the essence of an effective dose of constantly varied, functional movement at high intensity. I am confident in you. There are countless "Travel WODs" that use minimal or no equipment, can be accomplished in less than an hour, and will get you tanked. If you travel, my advice to you is to Google "CrossFit Travel WODs"; there are 100s and 100s of recommended workouts out there and I am confident you can find ones that work for your specific situation.

Don't have a lot of room or time? 100 burpees for time.  Like running or need to improve your running? Find a track and or open field and repeat 3 times: 200 then 400 then 600 meters resting in between the duration of the prior run. The opportunities to stay fit or get fitter on the road are endless, not complicated and even, daresay, fun. Make sure you make the time to warm-up and then mobilize afterwards. Before you go, do your research, write down a plan, set some goals, and reward yourself for achieving them. You thank yourself for it afterwards and when you return home. Be an inspiration to yourself, your family, friends or co-workers. Post a comment and tell us what your favorite travel WODs are or will be .
