American Academy of Pediatrics Ends Relationship with Coke

Okay, I know I sound like a broken record. Yes, I'm a hater. I hate the health effects of eating sugar and I hate the industry that pushes, and markets, and manipulates to get us and our children addicted to sugar. From fabricating research to sneaky sponsorships, the soda industry has been far from honorable in its dealings. While I applaud this decision by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), it leaves me scratching my head as to how this sponsorship agreement ever happened in the first place. Apparently, many of the pediatricians that are part of the AAP were not aware of this agreement and were equally outraged as they advise parents and kids to stay away from soda in their own practices. It is just a testament to how far reaching the long arms of the beverage industry have become.

If you think I'm paranoid and just out to get them, watch the video. It is eye opening.
