Strength Cycle and Holidays
What a great week this has been around Catacombs. Lots of new faces, some great accomplishments on complicated skills, and fantastic energy and attendance. I feel an incredible sense of gratitude every time I stand in front of a class and look out at my friends staring back at me. Thank you all for making Catacombs such an awesome place to be. We've got some good stuff leading up the holidays and hope to announce a date for our holiday party here soon. We will be running a reduced schedule over the week of Thanksgiving as we have staff traveling and many of our families are out of town as well. Thank you for your understanding around this and support as we all take the time we need to be with our friends and families and give thanks.
As promised, we will kick off the next strength cycle next week. That means that you should come prepared with your 1-rep max numbers. If you are new, don't worry. We will take care of you as always. If you completed those lifts last week though, don't miss the opportunity to get better by dialing in your numbers for the strength cycle. If you are still missing one or want to retest one of the lifts, there is Open Gym on Saturday. We will be incorporating the strength cycle into the programming on different days each week. If you miss one, it's not a big deal. You will probably hit a slightly different version of it the next week. This cycle will run for 6 weeks through the end of the year. We will of course be incorporating plenty of intervals, metabolic conditioning workouts, and gymnastics work into the programming as well.
