When did you start at Catacombs and why?
April 2015. After 3 years at another CrossFit gym I wanted a change to a smaller gym that was more focused on endurance and coaching with a tight community of members.
What do you do to pay the bills?
Ski for photo/film projects (svenbrunso.com) and help photographers build websites.
How do you like to spend your time when not at work or the gym?
Mountain Biking, hiking, traveling, spending time with my wife Beth and kids Aspen & Stowe.
What do you want to see on the whiteboard when you walk in for a workout (favorite movements, time domains, workout style, etc.)?
Deck of Cards workouts, Tabata, longer duration workouts.
What gives you a sense of dread when you see it on the whiteboard?
Clean and Jerks.
How do you use your fitness outside of the gym or why do you care about being fit?
Trying to stay fit to keep up with the 21 year old skiers I am traveling with around the world for ski projects. Maintaining a high level of fitness helps my recover quickly from big efforts at high elevation.
What's your favorite motivational quote, song, or ritual?
You only get one chance at this life, but if you live it right, once should be enough.
Name one thing you want to achieve in the gym in 2015.
Get more efficient at the movements that I don’t do well such as Clean and Jerks.

I try to appreciate every single day and enjoy the incredible lifestyle Durango provides.
