Happy Summer Everyone—

It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to Coach Linda. Linda was born and raised in Durango, but has been living in Albuquerque for the last 3 years and coaching at CrossFit Albuquerque. Her husband, Cody, and 6 year old son, Titus, just relocated back to Durango to be nearer to family and enjoy the community that they have always called home. We are excited to welcome Linda to our coaching staff as she brings a breadth and depth of experience that will allow us to better serve you, our athlete community.

Here’s what Linda has to say:

My first experience with CrossFit was at the tail end of 2011. I never considered myself to be athletic prior to starting CrossFit. However, I quickly fell in love with the methodology and its drastic effect on my life. I earned my Level 1 certificate when I was 6 months pregnant in the summer of 2012 and  my Level 2 certificate in 2017.

I’ve seen over and over the massive changes that can happen in a life through the journey of CrossFit especially when surrounded by a supportive community. I love welcoming new athletes and helping them overcome their fear and intimidation. The hardest step is getting in the door. And, due to my own experience with training  during pregnancy and postpartum, I have a special interest and focus in coaching women during those crucial times in their fitness journey. (Side note- any woman who has ever had a baby falls into the postpartum category, no matter how long ago you gave birth!)

My personal core values are:

Authenticity.  Be your true self. Don’t be afraid to take up space.

Integrity: Doing the right thing over the easy thing, no matter what.

Community: Celebrate and cultivate relationships.

Wellness: Honor your body, mind and spirit.

That seems like a pretty good fit to me. Linda will be jumping into classes next week. Please welcome her and help her get to know us.
