Happy Weekend Crew—

Many of you have already signed up for the Whole Life Challenge and I am really excited to embark on this journey with you. Whether this is your first time trying the Whole Life Challenge or like me, you’ve participated many times, we have the opportunity to make massive progress in how we feel physically and mentally over the next 6 weeks.

As I mentioned, I have participated in the Whole Life Challenge more times than I can count. To be honest, they have not all be overwhelming successes. Still, I have learned and grown from each and every one of them. There are many things I love about the Whole Life Challenge (and a few I don’t love) but I’d like to share the reasons why I am once again taking this on. Maybe some of my reasons will resonate with where you are.

The Whole Life Challenge gives me the opportunity to measure my progress in areas that are difficult to quantify. I like metrics and scores and I’m a sucker for keeping a streak going as long as I possibly can. Sure, these are artificial motivators, but often they give me enough of a push to get some positive momentum going. That momentum then gives me the chance to change a habit for real and possibly forever. I am also a firm believer in the adage that you move what you measure. Just by the act of measuring my sleep, water intake, food compliance, etc., my patterns improve.

Another fantastic part of the Whole Life Challenge is the weekly lifestyle practice. It is often an eye-opening reflection of some piece of happiness or contentment that I’m regularly leaving on the table. I tend to run a little on the high strung side and slowing down to smell the roses is not my strong suit. The lifestyle practices help me to do this in a tangible but not over the top way. I do my best to embrace every single one of them to the best of my ability.

But my favorite part about the Whole Life Challenge is that I get to do it with you. We interact every day and we get the opportunity to support one another in doing something that is hard. We form bonds that are reserved for those that are in the trenches together, working improve ourselves and our habits.

The Whole Life Challenge starts tomorrow (July 13th). If you are reading this in the days following, it is probably not too late to join. If you need more information, you can find it here. If you are ready to join, you can do that here.

See you in 6 weeks as a better version of me.
