The energy in the air these days is electric. What a joy to see old friends back in the gym and to see the smiles (and grimaces) begin to emerge from behind our face coverings. I've had more fun coaching this week than I can remember for a very long time. The world feels like it is waking up from hibernation after a long winter's nap. And high fives, oh how I've missed both giving you and receiving you.

If you haven't been back to Catacombs in awhile, let's catch you up.

Mask Updates

If you are vaccinated, face coverings are personal preference. If you are not fully vaccinated, face coverings are strongly encouraged. These are not Catacombs rules; they come from the CDC, federal, and state governments. We support every individual's decision regarding wearing a face covering or not and we ask all other athletes to do the same. Stay in your lane on this and give everyone space to figure out where they are comfortable. We will continue to offer outdoor workouts and outdoor options for those who would rather not come inside. We want you to workout and will support whatever you need to help make that happen. Please just ask.

Memorial Day Murph

We had been planning a scaled down, small heat version of Murph to honor those who lost their lives in service to our country. It’s a Memorial Day tradition. Now that the recommendations have changed, we are excited to offer a more community-focused event for the first time in what feels like FOREVER. We will run 15 person heats beginning at 8 AM on Memorial Day. Starting around 10:30, we will fire up the grill and serve up up hot dogs and fizzy water. Bring a side to share if you can and let's reconnect with each other. If you still aren't ready for that kind of socialization, no problem. We understand and will wait until you are ready. But if you are busting at the seams to hang with your Catacombs people, this is your chance. Sign up in ZP as always.

Yoga with Heather

One part stretching, one part flow, and two parts not taking yourself too seriously. This class will now be included in all unlimited monthly memberships. Members join for free, non-members can drop-in for $10 or get a yoga punch card for $100. Sign up in ZP.
