Well, apparently April snuck past when I wasn’t looking because I can’t believe May is upon us. We have a few schedule adjustments that we want you to be aware of and some exciting announcements.

Announcements First!

We are excited to let you know that we will be holding Memorial Day Murph this year. It is important to us as a Memorial Day tradition to honor those who gave their lives in the service of our country. This year, it also serves as an opportunity to gather again as a community. It won’t be the massive barbecue that it has been in years past; our broader community is not ready for that yet. But we feel confident that we can do this safely through running capped heats, using our outdoor space, and practicing all the things we have learned about staying safe in the Covid era. Stay tuned for more details around heats and signing up.

Schedule Updates:

Strength Class: We are adding a Strength Class on Monday and Wednesday at 1 PM. We will continue to offer Strength Class on Monday and Wednesday at 6 PM and discontinue Strength on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. We’ve heard from a lot of you that you’d like a strength focused option during the day as evenings don’t work well for you. Tues/Thurs Strength will be switched out with some other options beginning in May.

Mobility Class: We are also adding a Mobility option for the midday crew also. Tuesday and Thursday from 1-1:30 will be coach-led mobility. This offering has been very popular with the early birds and we can ALL stand to pay a little more attention to range of motion and joint function.

Yoga on Tuesdays at 6 PM: Great news! Yoga is back and will be taught by our very own Heather Hooten. If you have ever been to a yoga class with Heather, you will know why she has been dubbed the “reverently irreverent” teacher. Over the years, she has taught at a wide variety of venues~ not limited to traditional yoga studios. Her philosophy is to have fun, not take herself too seriously {and hopefully you won’t either}, while hosting a traditional yoga flow/savasana–something we could all use more of! Cost of this class is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.

Back to Basics at 9:30 Every Day! There has been a lot of interest in Back to Basics and we believe this is a very valuable offering to those new to Catacombs or those desiring to slow the workouts down a little bit and get some super specific coaching. Come join us for the workout of the day in a smaller group with the intensity turned down a bit.

All schedule changes go into effect on May 3rd. Ask a coach if you have questions!
